Two-time defending champion Ronnie O’Sullivan attained the Shanghai Masters last for the third year in a row triumph over Neil Robertson.
Five-time world champion O’Sullivan, 43, will confront fellow Englishman Shaun Murphy in Sunday’s final.
The first session found Robertson, 3-2 down, miscue trying the yellowish.
The 37-year-old damaged his tip, losing a chunk from it, because it was repaired leading to a suspension.
O’Sullivan subsequently took charge, winning half of the seven frames to reach the final although he maintained his composure to shoot three of their subsequent four frames.
